Daniel Krulick, Jr., age 78, better known to many friends and family as “Whale”, passed away on July 14, 2026, in the comfort of his home.
Born October 2, 1947, in Youngstown, Ohio, Daniel was the son of the late Daniel Sr. and Sylvia (Paganini) Krulick.
Loving husband of 53 years to Denise (Armstrong). Dan is also survived by his sons Daniel III and Gregory (Jamie). He will be greatly missed by his sister, Terrie Ahlstrom; nephew, Michael Ahlstrom (Nichole), of Virginia; and two great nephews, Peyton and Cole.
Dan was a 1965 graduate of Allegheny High School. Throughout his life, Dan always lived in the communities of Pittsburgh, including: North Side, Troy Hill and Sharps Hill. Dan was a member of the U. S. Army Reserves. His many work experiences through life included: a laborer for Kerotest Mfg., he was also a driver for BFI, and a laborer for the old Iron City Brewery in Lawrenceville. Dan could be counted on to provide the beer for all celebrations. Even though Dan retired, he couldn’t sit still. He drove part-time for Baierl, and then Wright delivering car parts. Whale was a very outgoing and chatty friend to all. He made many trips to the Giant Eagle, Sam’s Club, BJ’s, among others, chasing the latest bargain and making many new friends along the way. Dan was a good guy. He will be missed by all.
As per Dan’s wishes, all services will be private to the family.
