David Mitchell Curry

David Mitchell Curry of Catonsville, Maryland passed away peacefully at the age of 66 on Friday, January 26, 2024. He is the beloved son of the late Leon Madison Curry and the late Edith Marie Curry; cherished nephew of the late Loretta May Rucker; and nephew of the late Charles Nocho. He is survived by his loving brother Michael Curry; cherished aunt Sade Nocho; and many loving cousins and friends. David spent most of his life in Catonsville, Maryland. He was baptized at an early age at the original Morning Star Baptist Church and was committed in life to the tenets of a Christian. David graduated from Catonsville High School and went on to attend Frostburg State University.

David enjoyed a variety of interests including photography, computers and gadgets, rock concerts, grilling, road trips and spending time with family and friends. At 6’8” tall, he was known as a “gentle giant” who loved all sports, especially basketball. 

Family and friends are invited to call at the Sterling Ashton Schwab Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville Inc., 1630 Edmondson Ave., Catonsville, MD, on Friday, February 9, 2024 for a viewing from 2 to 4 p.m. and a Funeral Service from 4 to 5 p.m. Interment will take place on Monday, February 12, 2024 at the Sewickley Cemetery in Sewickley, PA at 1:00 p.m by Richard D. Cole Funeral Home, Ltd., 328 Beaver St., Sewickley, PA 15143
