David Perkins Obituary
David (Dave) Perkins, 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 19, 2020 in his home in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, surrounded by his family.
Dave was born September 24, 1933 in Skaneateles, New York to Bert and Mary Perkins. He graduated from Duke University in 1955 and was a life-long Blue Devils fan. After college, he served in the United States Army from 1955-1957. He joined Eastman Kodak and retired over 25 years ago after a long, successful career. He moved to Sewickley in 1970. Dave was a member of Allegheny Country Club; he was an avid golfer, tennis and paddle tennis enthusiast. He loved to read and was never without a book. His greatest joys in life were time spent with family and his Saturday tennis match with his beloved friends, a weekly tradition that lasted over 40 years. Dave touched many lives with his infectious personality. He had a lively sense of humor, an ability to make people laugh and a talent for putting others at ease.
Dave is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patty, and children Kim, Beth, Jennifer, Jon (Kristen), and Julia; he was preceded in death by Jeffrey. He had 3 grandchildren Lucy, Sophia and Olivia, and sister Jane Chrisfield along with many nieces and nephews.
Dave was loved by so many and will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Due to Covid, funeral services will be held privately. Donations can be made to the American Lung Association.
