Deborah Eileen Phillips Williams

Deborah Eileen Phillips Williams was born April 24, 1950 to the Late Anne Elizabeth Duncan Phillips and Ferris Cochran.  She entered into the heavenly peace, rest and joy of her heavenly home on August 20, 2021 at Allegheny General Hospital with family surrounding her.  

Debby attended Quaker Valley Schools and everyone who knew her received that big smile and a hug.  She loved to laugh, party with friends, cook and she baked a delicious lemon meringue pie.  She met no strangers and loved life.

Her childhood consisted of church at St. Matthews A.M.E. Zion Church (Buds of Promise, Christian Endeavor, etc.).  She loved singing in the choir with "Ma Crump" back in the day and she had a beautiful singing voice.  Debby had no biological children; however, she was a best friend to Linda Whitlock and so naturally, she became Godmother to L' Tanya T. Whitlock whom she loved and doted on as well as her many nieces and nephews.  

A giver from the heart, and a 'shopper', even after she was diagnosed with Lupus, Debby ordered jewelry and gifts from HSN, QVC, JTV and various magazines.  She looked in magazines for recipes and cooked some delectable meals that she and Sonny would enjoy, often inviting Donnie Williams to dinner.  She absolutely loved the Christmas season and had a 'village' in her apartment as a tribute to her favorite season.  

Debby has left many loving and precious memories to: brothers, Clarence "Sonny" Steele, Timothy Phillips (Robin), John H. Davis (Lindsey), Marlon "Marty" Davis; sisters, Phyliss S. Caldwell, Renee "Peanut" Phillips, Cherie Davis, Leticia "Tish" Gill, Shawn Lewis (Mark) and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances.  

Friends will be received Friday, August 27, 2021 from 11AM-Noon at the Richard D. Cole Funeral Home, Inc. 328 Beaver Street Sewickley, PA 15143 where a Funeral Service will be held following visitation at Noon.  The family requests that masks be worn during attendance at the Funeral Home.
