Donald R. Brandt

Age 85, of Sewickley, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023, at PAM Health Specialty Hospital. Don was the husband of sixty-seven years to Barbara (Trumpeter) Brandt. He is preceded in death by his only child, Tony Brandt. Don is survived by his wife, nieces, a nephew, and his much-loved dog, Luna.

Don’s various jobs always included his second love—airplanes. He spent twenty years with US Airways, as the director of the jet engine shop, and traveled the world with Southern Air Transport, as a maintenance supervisor and crew chief. In addition to those jobs, he also spent twenty years in the United States Air Force and National Guard. Don served as President of the corporation and elder at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, until it’s closing. He was a Mason with Doric Lodge Sewickley #630, Scottish Rite, and the Syria Shriners Legion of Honor.

A memorial service for Don will be held on Friday, August 11th, at 6 p.m. in Sewickley United Methodist Church, 337 Broad St., Sewickley, PA 15143. Interment will be held privately in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
