John D. "Jack" Daniels

Age 87, formerly of Leetsdale, PA, on Friday, August 4, 2023, John D. “Jack” Daniels passed away at the Hospice by the Bay in West Palm Beach, FL. Son of the late John and Wilhelmena (Dundas) Daniels. Jack was a graduate of Leetsdale High School Class of 1953. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy, retiring after 42 years in the Naval Construction Battalion (Seabees) as Chief Construction Electrician. He worked for Duquesne Light Co. before retiring to Greenacres, FL. Devoted and loving husband of Marlene (Staving) Daniels for 38 years. Survivors include stepchildren Denise (Gary) Silvestri, Joseph A. “Jay” Kelley, Diana Wade, Dennis (Jennifer) Kelley. Pappy to eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his first wife, Delores (McCaullry) Daniels; his daughter, Kimberly; brother, Robert (Tudd); son-in-law, Robert Hlista; and daughter-in-law, Anne Kelley. Family and friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15th at RICHARD D. COLE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 328 Beaver St., Sewickley, PA 15143. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 16th at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Roman Catholic Church—Divine Redeemer Parish, 200 Walnut St., Sewickley, PA 15143. Burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, 100 Resurrection Rd., Coraopolis, PA 15108.
