John LeCornu Obituary

On Wednesday, May 11th, 2022, John Christian David LeCornu passed away at the age of 31.

Christian was born at Sewickley Valley Hospital on August 18th, 1990. He was a graduate of Sewickley Academy and received his bachelor's degree at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a highly respected and successful Senior Strategist at Shareability in Austin, TX, the city he called home for the last 9 years.

Christian, Chricky, Tinky, Soup, was funny (like really funny), intelligent and adventurous. If he wasn’t roaming Terlingua with his beloved dog, Birdie, he was visiting the most beautiful parts of the country with his dad, John or whisking his mom, Susan, away to Hawaii for kayaking and sunshine. In between adventures, you could find him wherever his sister Amanda was,crashing in her guest room for some r&r.

You see- the heartbeat of Christians life was his family. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for them and their memories of him are full of laughter and joy. He doted on his niece and nephews every chance he got and checked in regularly with his grandparents. His thoughtfulness was unmatched.

If his family was his heartbeat then his friends were the air he breathed, giving him energy, purpose, joining him on his travels, and giving him excuses to plan new adventures. Christian never met a stranger and he made friends everywhere because people were drawn to him, from the moment he entered a room.

He loved deeply and was deeply loved in return.

Christian is preceded in death by Grandma Jane, Uncle Tony and Aunt Sue.

He leaves behind his dad John and mom Susan, sisters Amanda and Justine and brother Josh as well as grandparents, AJ Williams Jr, Claudia and Martin LeCornu, and aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and nephews.

Christian’s memorial service will be held at Christ Church at Grove Farm on May 22nd at 3pm. The family are asking that those who knew him well would share written remembrances and pictures with the family to amanda.lecornu@gmail.com.
