Laurene D. (LaRue) Dubich, formerly of Irwin, passed away on December 13th at the age of 91. She was born to William and Bernadine LaRue in Turtle Creek, PA in January 1930.
She was preceded in death by her husband Steve Dubich,siblings Patricia Udbinac, Gilbert LaRue, Norma Potochnik, Eugene LaRue, Ron LaRue, and Joe LaRue.
Beloved mother of Cheryl (Bill) Schilling and cherished grandmother of William Schilling, Nicholas Schilling, and Arielle (Bill) Houpt. She is also survived by her sister-in-lawsHelen Bowerman and Nancy LaRue, brother-in-law John Potochnik and numerous nieces and nephews.
To most family and friends, she was known simply as “Nan.” Her passions included her weekly bingo games with friends,playing the slots at the casino, beach vacations with her family, her loyal dog Lars, Penguins hockey, and corn on the cob from Schramms Farm. Laurene was known for her stylish wardrobe and impeccable hair. In retirement, each morning started with a cup of black coffee and either a muffin or a slice of toast, followed by her program “The Price is Right” highlighted by her favorite game “Plinko”. The best part of her day was phone callsthat turned into FaceTimes with her grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be held at Mother of Sorrows at 10:30 on Saturday, December 18th.
