Mary M. Dippolito, 93, long-time resident of Sewickley, passed away peacefully at Villa St. Joseph in Baden on Tuesday March 15, 2022. Mary was born on June 21, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Harry and Rose Miller. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years Emilio Dippolito from Nicastro, Italy, three sisters Josephine Falbo, Bertha (“Minnie”) DeLembo, and Rose Marie Balint, and lifelong friend Ruth Gilmore. She leaves behind her sisters Patricia Hurst of Lehigh Acres, Florida and Dorothy Malloy of Pittsburgh; her brother Robert Miller of Scio, Oregon; her daughter Donna Dippolito Eure of Sewickley; her son, Anthony Dippolito of Oakland Park, Florida; her grandsons Justin (Chelsea) Eure of Pascagoula, Mississippi, and Anthony Dippolito, Jr. of Oakland Park, Florida; her granddaughter Jenna (Aditya) Sharma of Pittsburgh; her great-granddaughter Wesley Anne Eure of Pascagoula, and a host of nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Earlier, she was a caretaker for a family in Sewickley and she enjoyed baking and cooking. She was a proud parishioner of St. James Parish in Sewickley. She and her family enjoyed traveling, spending time at the lake, and taking care of their various pets. Mary found joy in baking for the entire neighborhood and looking after her grandchildren. Later on, Mary spent her time looking after her great-granddog Gigi.
Mary’s family will receive friends and family at RICHARD D. COLE FUNERAL HOME, 328 Beaver St. in Sewickley on Sunday March 20th from 2:00-4:00 PM and from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A Catholic Funeral Mass will follow at Divine Redeemer Parish (formerly St. James Parish) in Sewickley on Monday March 21, 2022 at 10:30 AM. Flowers may be sent to the family through Heritage Flower Shop in Ambridge, PA.
