Nell Lindsey Hatton

Nell Lindsey Hatton, 94, of Edgeworth, PA, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 8, 2021. She was born on February 15, 1927, in Ft Stockton TX, where she met and married the love of her life, Jo Hatton. Their happy marriage lasted 52 years until his death in 1997. Together forever now, hitting the road, dancing, and laughing. 

She is survived by her 4 kids, Patty Hefner (Ron) of Wexford, Debby Lord (Mike) of Edinboro, Carol Ruckert of New Sewickley Twp, and Jim Hatton (Claire) of McKinney TX who will miss her always. She was the adored Grammy of 12; Lee Hefner (Sara), Tim Hefner (BethAnn), Travis Hefner, Sarah Phillips (Larry), Emily Phillips (Len), Devyn Lord (Bryan Hanas), Jacob Ruckert (Rochelle Stepp), Lindsey Krehnovi (Adam), Kenny Ruckert (Jenna), Elizabeth Mills (Joshua), Sarah Williams (Lucas), and Joe Hatton (Bethany). Also, proud and loving Great Grammy to 18 1/2. Family was everything and she loved playing in the yard with the kids, sharing holidays, hearing about their lives, and holding all those precious babies. 

She loved to read, watch game shows, and cheer on the Pirates. 

She was one of 6 children born to Charles J. and RubyMae Lindsey. She was preceded in death by her sisters Nila, Lila ("Cooter"), Juanita, and Billie Jo, and her brother Bobby. She loved her many nieces and nephews and all their families and was so happy to have been in Texas for a Lindsey family reunion in August 2019.

Friends will be received in the Richard D. Cole Funeral Home, Inc. 328 Beaver Street, Sewickley, PA 15143 on TUESDAY, July 13, 2021 from 3-8 PM. Funeral Service on Wednesday at 11 am.  Burial in Sewickley Cemetery.
