Age 80, of Coraopolis, on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Beloved husband of Sandra (Rosata) Harpold. Loving father of Amber (Brian) Mackey, Shanna (Mitch Cox) Carelli, and the late Tara Ann Harpold. Grandfather of Jonathon “J.R.” Harpold, Austin J. Harpold, Blaine M. Sams, Christina Bowes, and Jason Carelli. Brother of Virginia (the late Donald) Bosworth, Ronald (Debbie) Harpold, and the late William (Celeste—still surviving). Son of the late William and Dorothy (McKinnon) Harpold. Bob will be sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Bob served in Germany as a Russian interpreter during his time in the Air Force. After graduating from Geneva College, he worked as a civil engineer designing highways. Bob was an avid sports fan and this was shown through his coaching of his daughters' softball team and watching his grandson's in their many sports activities. He always loved indulging in his wife's delicious cooking. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family at Holiday Camplands, riding golf carts and sitting around the camp fire for great conversation while having a few beers.
After his retirement, he occupied his time by working at his daughter's business and enjoying the challenge of completing the daily newspaper crossword puzzles. His family will truly miss him and will cherish the wonderful memories of good times spent with him sporting his favorite bucket hat. His daughter's will forever miss hearing "Love you too kid."
