Terrie Pluechel

Terrie (Sarson) Pluechel of Sewickley, PA, passed away unexpectedly on December 25, 2022.  She was 80 years old.

Terrie was born March 2, 1942 in Altoona, PA, the seventh of eight children born to Emanuel and Marguerite Love.  She is survived by her son, James Eric Sarson, of Sewickley and one brother, Donald Lee Love, of Altoona, PA in addition to many nephews and nieces.

Terrie graduated from Altoona Area High School in 1960 and was married to “Sonny” Sarson for 28 years. They had one son, James Eric Sarson. Her and her second husband, George Pluechel enjoyed one another’s companionship for 21 years until the time of his death in 2010.

Terrie was very active in her church and community. She spent many years caring for elderly home-bound patients who loved her dearly. Her big heart included a great love for animals. One of her favorite past times was feeding the squirrels and birds that came up to her back porch. She also had two cats that kept her lap warm through the Hallmark movies she so enjoyed.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Little Hill United Methodist Church, 2350 Magee Rd, Sewickley, PA.
