William E. "Sonny" Hughes

On November 7, 2022 William E. "Sonny" Hughes of Wexford, Pa. passed away after a lengthy illness. Husband of Marti Hughes. Step-Father of Lisa Reinert of Louisville, Kentucky, Lynn Kline of Evans City, PA and Brian Kersten of Sewickley, PA. Grandfather 0f 6 and Great Grandfather of 3. Brother of Ronald J. Hughes of Saylorsburg, Pa, Janis L. Scheib of Summerville, South Carolina, James T. (Dee) Hughes and the late Margaret A. (Peggy) Hartman. Bill was the son of the late William and Margaret Hughes. Growing up in Groveton, PA, he attended Robinson and Montour High School. Leaving high school, he joined the Army, later to be stationed in Korea. After a long career working for international construction companies as The Director of Procurement Activities, he retired and moved back to the Wexford area. Friends will be received in The Richard D. Cole Funeral Home, Inc., 328 Beaver St., Sewickley, PA 15143 on Sunday November 13, 2022 from 2-6 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday November 14, 2022 at 10:30 in Divine Redeemer Catholic Church--St. James Parish, 200 Walnut St., Sewickley, PA 15143.
